Herstel. Kompleet afsondering in die natuur, presies waarvoor ons gesoek het. Daar is elektrisiteit, 'n TV bring jou eie DStv-kaart. Bokke loop heeldag heen en weer voor die huisie. In die middag kla die swaeltjies as jy in die swembad is, want hulle wil water skep, te oulik. Pad is rof, maar die moeite werd.

Perfect. We absolutely loved our stay at Elandsberg! The gravel road is quite severe, so make sure you are set up accordingly. Do yourself a favour and visit the viewpoint — you won't be disappointed. We went twice! It's a trek though, unless you 4x4 it. One thing to note: we found the communication between the website and SANParks conflicting. It seems the website doesn't have all the updated information about the stay. We had solar power, a daily cleaning service, and DStv so we could watch the rugby. There is wood available for purchase at the office, as well as free Wi-Fi. There is nothing else to purchase, so make sure you’re well stocked and have ample petrol, a spare tyre, and ice! Keep in mind you’ll be charged a daily permit fee and a vehicle fee. We were blown away by the professionalism of the SANParks staff. If you want a specific cottage, you’ll need to book through SANParks directly, as it seems the website can’t allocate specific cottages. There are ten cottages in total. The cottages are by far much nicer in real life than in the pictures — a real treat! A photographer’s and birder’s dream!

Rustig en vrede. Lekker gebly, sorg dat julle genoeg spaarwiele het. Hier en daar kort 'n klein bietjie onderhoud, maar niks om oor te kla nie. Personeel vriendelik en behulpsaam. Dankie.

Hoogtepunt van ons vakansie. Wat 'n ongelooflike ervaring! Die stilte en privaatheid was kos vir die siel. Let wel, mens ry baie ver grondpad, maar ons kon dit gemaklik doen met ons Toyota Corolla Cross. Om egter die park behoorlik te verken, is 'n 4x4 aanbeveel. Die eenhede is toegerus met sonpanele, dus is daar elektrisiteit en 'n TV met DStv. Neem egter al jou voorraad saam, aangesien daar geen winkel (behalwe hout) beskikbaar is in die park nie. Ook is daar geen sein in die park nie, slegs WiFi by ontvangs wat ongeveer 20 km van die kamp is. Hierdie was 'n ervaring wat mens self moet ervaar - 'n resensie kan nie die hele prentjie van die natuurskoon skets nie.

Relaxing, clean with great views. Great find. We really loved the place. Great clean spacious facilities. Great views of mountains and the stars at night. So quiet. We travelled from Calvinia and the petrol station Klk (be careful to check that the fuel pump is on zero before they fill up and that they have filled your tank). There is a long drive of nothing for km's. There is also a Caltex further down the street as it bends. Google did direct us to Tankwa Nature Reserve, but stop following Google as soon as you see the Tankwa Reserve board and follow that instead. It is a long road to the reception and you travel through many chalets before you get to the office that you can't miss. Here the staff were leaving by 16:30 and not 17:00 as we thought, so lucky to catch them before they were gone. They will give you the keys.

Amazing mooi en so rustig. Dit was 'n baie lekker huisie! Ons het gedink daar is 2 slaapkamers omdat die huisie 4 mense kan vat, maar daar is slegs 'n sleeper couch in die sitkamer, en een slaapkamer.

Relaxing. The website stated that ice would be for sale at reception, but no ice was available, so we had to make our own ice. There were only 2 small trays, so we had to continually make, save, make, save until we had enough to carry us through in the evenings. Please correctly advertise if you sell ice at the reception or not.

'n Vreedsame plek in die natuur. Ons het die rustigheid, die diere en die sterrehemel geniet, asook die stap op die 4x4-roete na die uitsigpunt bo.

Highly recommended. It was a great getaway, we loved the accommodation and the location. Our only complaint is the pool could have been cleaner and the 'stoep' wasn't clean.
