Description
Shark Cove is located in the quiet, small coastal town of Van Dyks Bay, 200 m from the beach and 500 m from Kleinbaai's harbour. Neither the house nor the cottage has a direct sea view.
Accommodation is provided in 2 self-catering units called Shark Cove Little Cottage and Shark Cove House.
Shark Cove House is very spacious and comprises 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other room has 2 three-quarter beds. The shared bathroom is fitted with a bath, a shower and a toilet. The living area has a double sleeper couch. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with, crockery, cutlery, glasses, fridge-freezer, microwave, stove, oven and dining table with chairs. The separate scullery has a washing machine and a dishwasher. The spacious living and sitting area have an indoor braai, a TV with full DStv, and a study table. There is also uncapped Wi-Fi. At the back, there is a patio table and chairs with a braai. The unit has a lockable carport and to the left of the house, there is extra parking space for another vehicle. In total, only 6 guests (children included) can be accommodated.
Shark Cove Little Cottage can only sleep 2 and is a stylishly decorated room. This small guest room is furnished with a double bed and has a bathroom with a shower. The room is also equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities, a microwave, toaster, a bar fridge, crockery and cutlery. Bath towels are provided. Please note that no TV, braai or cooking facilities are available. WiFi is available.
Both units can be booked as a whole and it sleeps 8 guests (children included) then.
Only Shark Cove House is pet-friendly for small to medium-sized dogs (maximum 50 cm high), but this has to be arranged with the owners. No large dogs and no cats are allowed.
No pets are allowed at Shark Cove Little Cottage because the unit is too small.
Shark diving and whale watching activities are located in the surrounding area. The world-famous Shark Alley, specialising in Great White Shark expeditions is nearby. Tours around Dyer Island, Geyser Rock are also very popular.
