Description

The Bus is an upscale tiny home offering a cool and funky living experience. It comfortably accommodates 2 adults and one child and has been thoughtfully designed within the body of a restored cross-country truck. The double bed is positioned to enjoy tranquil views of the garden bordering the river. The truck seamlessly extends into a living area that opens onto a well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with a gas oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, and all essential utensils for meal preparation. A small breakfast counter provides a convenient space for sit-down meals. Beyond the kitchen is a spacious shower room with a toilet. The living area features a large, comfortable leather couch, ideal for a child, with bedding provided to ensure a restful night’s sleep. Step outside onto the deck, a relaxed and inviting space nestled among the trees, offering views stretching down toward the ocean.

Please note that a gravel road leads to the accommodation. Guests are advised to enquire with the establishment about the current condition of the road before booking.

Guests should bring mosquito repellent, sunscreen, gumboots, a swimming costume, beach towels, a good book, and fishing licenses.

Breakfast can be provided on request. Hosts are happy to prepare a hot breakfast of eggs and bacon or a vegetarian alternative, as well as options such as jungle oats or muesli with yoghurt and fruit.

Braai wood and ice are available for purchase. Guests should notify the hosts in advance if these will be required.

The owner and manager reside on-site, along with a few dogs of varying sizes, and are happy to accommodate any specific guest requirements.

The Hideout is pet-friendly, and the resident dogs enjoy making new friends. Socialised dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

Linens and bath towels are provided.

A double en suite with 2 single beds set together to create a double. A floor mattress can be added to accommodate a child. This cottage has a large walk in shower/dressing room, and is a comfortable living space with s bar fridge and a kettle for your convenience. This unit comes with breakfast that can be served in your room, on your deck, or in the common area.
