Tomjachu Bush Retreat

Description

The Crooked Cottage is the only pet-friendly accommodation. Two bedrooms, sitting room, kitchen, veranda and boma. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. The separate bathroom is fitted with a shower and toilet. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with an oven, stove, microwave, and fridge. Situated 2.5km from the main Homestead on a rough gravel road suited to 4x4 vehicles in its private valley with bushveld mountain views, it offers complete privacy and seclusion for you and your furry friends.

Description

The homestead is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. This unit is equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities and also offers a communal sitting room with a log fireplace, an art gallery, a dining room, a number of seating areas on the open verandah, and a communal swimming pool with a lovely view of the wild, mountainous bushveld.

Keeper’s Cottage offers guests complete privacy and serenity. Huddled beneath a giant fig tree, its large verandah and garden- and sunrise-view platform gives you the space to put your feet up and enjoy looking out onto the retreat below, with plains game wandering past. This unit is furnished with a king-size bed and the bathroom is fitted with a shower. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. It also features an outdoor fire pit, braai area, outdoor dining area, and indoor fireplace to snuggle up to on chilly winter evenings.

Rock House is a truly romantic hideaway, built using stone from the reserve itself. The Rock House offers a panoramic view of the Bekker mountain range through sliding glass doors. You and your loved one can enjoy each other’s company in utter privacy whilst indulging in the scenic landscape with only the passing zebra to disturb your solitude. Rock House is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The house features a private plunge pool, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a braai area and a fire pit.

The villa is in a spectacular location, perched high above the valley, with an unrivaled vista looking down over the reserve towards the Crocodile Valley Gorge. This unique Lowveld home, formerly the Fillery family home, is brimming with family antiques, paintings, local art, and a lifetime of memorabilia. The villa comprises 6 double en-suite bedrooms. There are 4 bedrooms each furnished with a king-size bed while the fifth bedroom contains a queen-size bed. The sixth bedroom has 2 single beds. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom; there are 2 bathrooms with a bath and a shower and 4 bathrooms with a shower only. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Guests have access to braai facilities and a boma.
