Disappointing. On arrival to both the reception and my room, there was a lack of ventilation. It was very stuffy to stay in the room and I had to wait outside whilst getting the room refreshed. The room only had one window which was not adequate for the ventilation. With asthma, I did not sleep very well. The extractor in the bathroom was not functional and thus contributed to the stuffiness in the room. The chairs in the room were dirty and not suitable to sit on. The tap needed repairs as well as the grout of tiles in the bathroom. The place generally looks rundown and not worth the penny charged. I actually stayed for two days although I had paid for three days.

Disappointment. Stayed at the then Kakamas Hotel years ago before it was bought by the Country Hotel group. Accommodation was then perfection. The Vergelegen Restaurant was top notch! What a big disappointment on our arrival! Hotel feels run down. I specifically requested a reservation at the Vergelegen Restaurant by email which never materialised. Had to eat at the Badgers Grill which is not the same. No way, next time I'll stay elsewhere.
