Waaihoek Private Game Farm and Lodge is situated on the banks of the Vaal River, approximately 10 km from Warrenton. The property offers a tranquil farm setting with scenic river views and a variety of accommodation options.
The farm features 2 self-catering units and a lodge known as Schoonuitsicht, which consists of 4 wooden cabins connected by a walkway.
The self-catering units each accommodate up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. These units include an open-plan living area and kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, microwave, stove, air conditioning, cutlery, and crockery. The living area has comfortable seating and a TV with selected DStv channels, and opens onto a wooden deck with outdoor dining furniture and a gas braai, offering views of the farm and the river.
Schoonuitsicht lodge comprises 4 wooden cabins. Two cabins each contain 2 double beds, while the other two cabins each have 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Each cabin has a bathroom fitted with a shower, washbasin and toilet. The lodge also includes an open-plan living area and a fully equipped kitchen with a double-door fridge, microwave, stove, oven, ice maker, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as air conditioning. Additional outdoor ablution facilities are available.
The spacious living area opens onto a wooden deck featuring a private bar, gas braai and outdoor seating, all overlooking the river. The lodge also has its own swimming pool and dedicated parking area.
Guests can enjoy a range of on-site activities, including a 4 km walking trail along the river, fishing (fly fishing preferred), game viewing and bird watching.
