Description

West Coast Luxury Tents offers a serene retreat on a private beachfront farm with no public access. The property is situated 28 km from Elands Bay and 30 km from Dwarskersbos and is surrounded by wide open spaces, fynbos, and dunes, providing a true sense of remoteness. Guests can enjoy a quiet natural setting with the ocean just a short walk away and nearby attractions, including world-class surf breaks at Elands Bay and the seasonal crayfish run. Birdwatchers will appreciate the proximity to the Verloren Vlei wetland, which is well known for its diverse birdlife, including breeding pairs of Black Oystercatchers along the beach.

Accommodation consists of three glamping tents and The Palace, all positioned behind a sea dune for privacy and shelter. Fork South, Middle Fork, and Fork North are set along a line through the fynbos, with Fork South closest to the left, Middle Fork slightly to the right, and Fork North furthest to the right. The Palace is positioned furthest to the left and offers a self-contained stay for larger groups while still enjoying the private farm setting. Each unit is designed to provide comfort in a quiet, natural environment with private braai areas for outdoor dining.

Fork North and Middle Fork each accommodate up to two guests in a single open-plan tent furnished with a double bed, a private ensuite bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet, and a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, induction plate, and catering utensils. Fork South accommodates up to four guests with the main tent furnished with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom, while an adjacent small tent provides two single beds. Guests in Fork South share the bathroom in the main tent. Firewood and ice are supplied.

The Palace accommodates up to ten guests, six adults and four children, and is accessed via a 4x4 vehicle. Accommodation includes three tents, two with double beds and one with a queen bed, plus a bunk bed, single bed, and sofa bed in the central lapa for children. The lapa contains a kitchen, fridge, induction plate, microwave, table, chairs, and braai facilities. A separate ablution is fitted with a shower and toilet.

From each tent, guests can reach a 40 km stretch of pristine sandy beach within approximately 300 m. The setting allows for privacy as well as shared experiences, whether booking a single tent or multiple units for family and friends.
