Quite place good for recharge. The place was neat and clean, but I didn't enjoy sleeping with your linens. I couldn't stand the smell.

Hi Margaret. Thanks for the review and your honesty. We are not sure what you mean with the smell of the linen as we very diligently replace all linen after every stay with clean linen. We would appreciate it if you could elaborate a bit on this so we can understand exactly what the issue is to improve on. Perhaps the softener we use is a scent you don't like?

I will definitely book again. The cabin is beautiful and clean and cosy. I loved it there, worth another visit. The host was very kind. I felt safe. Beautiful place to chill outside and watch the stars. The sunset is amazing there.

Great decor and crisp bed sheets. My stay at Balloon View Country Cottage was very nice. I enjoyed my stay there. The viewing of the hot air balloon was out of this world.

Nice stay Had a lovely stay and the hosts were lovely. Even arranged a quad bike ride for us. The only issue is that the address provided didn't take us to the property and we had to scramble for the host's numbers so they could give us the correct pin location some distance away. It gets really cold at night.

Hi Mahlatse. Thanks for the great review. Yes, it does get quite cold here, which is why we supply our guests with electric blankets and gas heaters in the winter. We are happy to report that the issue with Google Maps is now sorted after we submitted the route corrections. We usually WhatsApp our guests with directions, pin location, and check-in details a few days before arrival. We will find out if this was an omission from our side.

Sou graag weer wil bespreek, hopelik sal die omgewing se riool uitgesorteer wees. Dit was 'n wonderlike naweek in die Balloon View Country Cottage, alles was mooi skoon en netjies binne en buite. Om die lugballonne so naby te kon sien, was wonderlik. Sou graag die bestuur wou sien toe ons verlaat het, maar hulle was nie beskikbaar nie, dalk net besig met iets anders. Daar was ongelukkig 'n rioolreuk elke aand so teen 18H00, nie lokaal nie maar van verder weg. Dit raak so erg dat 'n mens nie buite kan wees nie en ook nie vensters kan oopmaak nie. Hierdie is sekerlik die munisipaliteit wat infrastruktuur moet verbeter in die omgewing.

Beste Hannes, Baie dankie vir julle 4.6/5 terugvoer en vir die mooi woorde oor Balloon View Country Cottage. Ons is bly om te hoor dat alles skoon en netjies was en dat julle dit geniet het om die lugballonne so naby te sien — dit bly iets besonders. Ons neem ook kennis van die reuk waarna julle verwys. Dit is nie ’n plaaslike rioolprobleem nie, maar iets wat gewoonlik veroorsaak word deur landbou-aktiwiteite in die omgewing, waar natuurlike kompos in lande ingewerk word. Dit gebeur gelukkig net ’n paar keer per jaar en is gewoonlik van korte duur. Ons verstaan egter dat dit onaangenaam kan wees wanneer dit wel voorkom. Jammer ook dat ons mekaar nie persoonlik kon groet met vertrek nie — ons probeer altyd beskikbaar wees, maar was moontlik net op daardie oomblik besig. Ons waardeer julle eerlike terugvoer en hoop om julle weer te verwelkom vir ’n volgende naweek, hopelik onder perfekte omstandighede. Vriendelike groete, Magalies River Country Retreat Team
