House Rules

Check-in Time: Check-in is available from 14:00 to 19:00. Please note that late check-ins are subject to an additional fee per hour.

Check-out Time: Check-out time is 10:00. Late check-outs from 10:00 to 15:00 will incur a half-day rate, while check-outs after 15:00 will be charged a full night rate. Late check-outs are subject to availability. Please make arrangements directly with reservations or the property manager.

Accommodation Details: Your booking is self-catering/room only. We provide communal kitchen facilities, braai facilities, wood, firelighters, and ice for your convenience.

Activities: Please note that self-drives on the reserve are not permitted. You are more than welcome to walk on the reserve on the recommended routes. To enhance your experience, we offer guided game drives and guided walks, priced upon request, subject to availability. If you’re interested in booking any activities, please let us know.

Provisions: The nearest town is Graaff-Reinet, located about 25–30 minutes from the reserve. We recommend purchasing any necessary supplies while passing through town, as there are no restaurants or shops on the reserve. Private chef services are available upon request.

Pet Policy
All pets must be approved by management prior to arrival. If no prior arrangement has been made at the time of your reservation confirmation or before your arrival, we will unfortunately be unable to accommodate your booking. We only accept small dogs. Please also note that our friendly Buccara cats and dogs roam the property freely. They are sociable with both guests and other pets, adding to the relaxed, farm-style atmosphere.

Road Access to the Accommodation
From the R61 tar road turn-off, there is a well-maintained 9 km dirt road leading to the first accommodation options, Clifton Manor and Clifton Main House. Please note that a medium-clearance vehicle is required for this route. For guests staying at Willowslopes, the route includes the same 9 km dirt road from the R61 turn-off, followed by an additional 8.5 km through riverine terrain. A high-clearance vehicle is essential to reach this accommodation.
