Description
Mount Rose in Clarens offers all amenities, beautiful mountain views, & peaceful surroundings. It is close to the CBD, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, & coffee shops. It is an old house, built in the 1960's for family holidays. It has old style furnishings with lots of glowing wood & soft fabrics. There are no glass & steel, grey & white interiors - many of those in other localities in town. The ambience is relaxed, cosy, & even nostalgic.
The house accommodates 8 guests, comprising 4 bedrooms & 3 en-suite bathrooms. However, bedrooms are made available according to the number of guests. If you want access to all 4 bedrooms you need to pay for at least 4 persons.
The largest bedroom, Peace, is located on the upper level of the house. It comprises a queen bed, dressing table, many built-in cupboards, & en-suite bathroom with a corner tub, a shower, a hand basin, & toilet. This bedroom also has tea- & coffee-making facilities & a private balcony with 180-degree mountain views.
The second bedroom, Faith, is located on the middle level of the house. It has its own lockable entry passage from the interior of the house, in addition to an outside door and landing. This is reminiscent of Granny's bedroom with a double bed & old-style upholstered headboard with two side cabinets. The dressing table with swivel side mirrors is from the same suite, but there are also 2 ball-and-claw armrest chairs & a bamboo bookcase. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, hand basin & toilet, & is located in the entry passage so that the small bedroom's guests can use it without entering the bedroom.
The third bedroom, Love, is also located on the middle level & comprises a queen bed with two side tables each with a riempies chair, & one armchair. The en suite bathroom has a shower, basin, and toilet. There is an outside door with private access to the back garden.
The fourth bedroom is smaller & called Joy. It is located on the lower level & has 2 three-quarter
(twin) beds, a small cupboard & single nightstand. It has to share one of the other bathrooms for showering but can use the guest toilet with hand basin. Double doors open to the garden .
The kitchen is fully equipped. The open-plan lounge/dining area has 2 dining tables, 3 couches, a smart TV, & a large wood-burning fireplace, with free unlimited Wi-Fi. Large double doors open onto a spacious roofed verandah with unobstructed views, an 8 seater table & a 2-seater bench .
Entrance to the house is through the double garage, opened by remote control. The burglar alarm also operates by remote. Armed security is called 24/7 by pressing the red panic button. It has eyes inside the house, & so can only be activated when there is nobody in the house. The garden is fenced with devil's fork, or walled.
