Thank you for sharing your lovely and cozy place to stay at. I enjoyed staying at the Crooked Tree Cottage. The room was clean and tidy. I had a very nice view. Friendly people with very good service. I will definitely make use of the Crooked Tree Cottage again.

The place was located close to the places we wanted to visit. Great location but not so great service. We had to use the same towels for 3 days, which was unacceptable considering the amount of money we paid for this accommodation. The owner gave vibes of not trusting us, which was also not appreciated. Overall, great place but not so great service.

For a second time, thank you for the review. You booked a prime destination establishment at the very peak of the year at a very reasonable rate for 6 guests. The rate charged was not expensive for Umhlanga. Daily towel changes are not factored into the rate, firstly, to keep the rate down, and secondly, to save our precious environment. You were never refused new towels; you simply did not want to pay the small extra fee for them. With regards to "vibes of distrust", maybe there is a reason you felt like that, but since we hardly saw one another, I don't know how I am supposed to have made you feel that way. I strive to make my guests as comfortable as possible, as virtually every single other review on this and other platforms demonstrates. But one can never "please all the people all the time" and you are clearly that one I could not please. But thank you again for the booking; your family was lovely. All the best for 2026.

Peaceful and very relaxing to stay. I enjoyed my stay at Crooked Tree Cottage. Thanks to Helen and her staff for a lovely experience. I will return there next time I'm in Durban again. My room was clean and tidy and had everything I needed.

Excellent housekeeping. We enjoyed our stay at Crooked Tree Cottage, it was so awesome. You welcomed us so warmly and we felt like we were at home. Furthermore, your place was pin neat, clean and well equipped with adequate fans, air conditioner, and open plan kitchen and lounge facility. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and were taken with the free cereal, coffee, sugar, and milk provided. Thank you.
