We can highly recommend Liefland! A gem in Namaqualand! We stayed overnight at Liefland Cottages (about 10 km from Springbok) on our “road trip” to the West Coast (with our two dogs). These self-catering cottages with fenced Jakkalsdraad are ideal if you have dogs. We were here in January - it is very warm! But the room has lovely air conditioning and a large fan in the living area. There are USB plugs by the bedside tables. The cottage is nicely furnished, clean and private. A break from the ordinary, food for the soul. My husband and I were looking for a getaway before reality hits just before the festival time is over and that is exactly what we got. Exceptionally beautiful, peaceful, private (not once did we come into contact with the owners, all instructions via booking message), something completely out of the ordinary and we cannot recommend Liefland enough for future guests. We showed our friends photos and videos that we took during our stay and they also can't believe that such a treasure exists just outside of Springbok and will definitely support Liefland in the future. Fabulous. We really enjoyed our stay and the animals in front of our chalet were a real bonus. One suggestion we have is that the bed, which is a normal double bed, could maybe be replaced with a queen size bed, as it was very small for us and we are not used to sleeping on such a small bed and kept rolling into each other in the night.
