Breakage Deposit
A refundable breakage deposit of R2000 is payable directly to the property.
House Rules
The house is in a conservancy and there are other houses on the property. Therefore we expect guests not to play loud music and to respect quiet hours after 9pm. Smoking indoors is not permitted. We don't allow parties or additional guests apart from those staying in the house.

By visiting Magaliesberg Mountain Retreat, you and your guests acknowledge that you do so entirely at your own risk. You acknowledge that there are risks and dangers in the environment and by visiting you undertake to take all necessary measures to protect yourself and your fellow guests. The owners, management and their agents will not be liable for any injury to, or the death of, any persons, or for the damage to, or destruction or loss of, any property, including vehicles, whether caused by the ordinary or gross negligence of the owners, their employees, agents or contractors, or any other person, or resulting from vandalism or theft by the owners’ employees, agents, contractors or any other person resulting from any other cause whatsoever.
The property is on land which is part of the Magaliesberg nature conservation area. The main hazards to be aware of in the highveld bush include snakes, ticks, and baboons.
Swimming in the dam and walking on the mountain is undertaken entirely at your own risk. All children and non-swimmers should be supervised at the dam all times. The water is up to five meters deep in parts and there are only limited places to climb out. Please be especially cautious with young children at the dam. Also note that there are some areas around the house with two meter drops so young children need to be closely supervised outside.
During summer, and especially in July and August, bush fires are a serious risk in the area. Never leave fires unattended either inside or outside the house. Local authorities issue fire restrictions from time to time which may include complete bans on outdoor fires. If our staff inform you of such a ban please obey it.
Never leave the gas fires in the bedrooms on when you go to bed.
We do not recommend walking out into the bush beyond the garden at night. It is difficult to find the paths in the dark and easy to get lost.
