"Keep it up, super clean, well managed area, people are friendly which is a change from the norm for people from the inland provinces. We were pleasantly surprised by all the interactions in and around the area. San Lameer Villa 3502"The beach is one of the best in KZN. One can walk onto the beach from San Lameer and walk along lovely level and sandy beach from Marina Beach to Trafalgar Beach. There is safe bathing either in the tidal pool or sea with life guards on duty. We enjoyed watching the fishermen, surfers and cyclists on the beach. Very good pizza take-away/restaurant called O'Nellys in Southbroom."

"Uvongo beach is a small but nice beach. Unfortunately during our stay there had been a sewage pipe that had contaminated the water so no swimming. Lucky for us there are other beaches close by that we could visit."

"Vir ons wat amper 10 jaar laas in Margate vakansiegehou het, het die algemene omgewing van Margate baie agteruitgegaan. Dis duidelik dat munisipale dienslewering swak is. Maar die mense van Margate waarmee ons te doen gehad het, is tops."
"Umdloti was generally clean and chilled. Although it is relatively small, it does not feel cramped. Security was visible all the time and walking in the streets in the evening was a pleasant experience. It is quite a bit more expensive than Johannesburg in some aspects though, which I found a bit shocking."

Beach Cove"Hibberdene is a small town, but if you are going for the sea, fresh air, warm weather, dolphin and whale views and access to some private, quiet beaches, it is perfect. Local shops are fine for a quick visit, but rather drive a bit further towards Port Shepstone for greater variety. We took our 4 dogs and had a magical beach holiday with them."

Welcome Home Cottage"Very charming Town with so many hidden gems. A beautiful nursery where one can enjoy superb breakfasts, lunches or teas and mouthwatering cakes. Victoria Country Club always a pleasure to visit - be it for a round of golf or lunch/dinner. Two shopping malls if one has the time to explore. The Countryside is lovely - close by there are many areas to drive to for an outing on Midlands Meander. Although the capital of Kwazulu-Natal, it has retained a country feel with caring folks."
