"Not considered a tourist destination. If you want very cheap and just a basic bed to sleep then this is the place for you."
"Small town with very friendly and inviting community. Plenty of authentic eat out and social venues, but understandable not much other entertainment options."
"Prins Albert is a cute town with a lovely slow living pace. There are yummy restaurants and a few fun things to do in the area - great for a night or two."
"Joe's Diner was 'n baie aangename verrassing - dit moet baie beter bemark word as 'n alternatiewe eetplek!"
"The residential area surrounding the N9/N1 intersection is a bit run-down and has some unsavory parts. I only consider it nice to stay within the confines of the guesthouse or B&B. We didn't check out the whole of Colesberg, so I can't say much about the rest. There is very limited options for people that eat plant-based or vegan when I check the surrounding menus online. I wouldn't travel specifically to Colesberg as a destination."
Verder is dit 'n tyd staan stil dorpie.
"Victoria West Is a charming quaint little village with an interesting assortment of architectural styles -Victorian ,Edwardian ,Cape cottage and a magnificent DRC Church dating back to 1849. Victoria West is worth the stop just to see the iconic Apollo art deco Theatre which reminds me of going to the bioscope in my youth! We arranged a two hour Guided walking tour with Ricardo of Victoria West Tours. He is a fountain of knowledge on the area and very enthusiastic. So nice to meet a young man from a disadvantaged background so keen to learn and very proud of his Vic West heritage. The Victoria West Museum is also a must see stop with really interesting displays of dinosaurs, fossils, San culture, Voortrekker life and the Boer war. Finally Victoria West is definitely worth a stop over to enjoy the famous Karoo lamb at KA’Roux restaurant."
