A pleasure to visit this little corner of the Mediterranean in the Western Cape. Arthichoke is a charming cottage with a well-equipped kitchen. You can make use of the terrace of the Manor House, which has wonderful views of the mountains, including Table Mountain and Lion's Head. Parking is ample and secure. The staff and hosts are a pleasure to be with, and the deli and wine shop can provide additional treats. Given how close this is to Cape Town, travellers could use this as a base from which to explore the Western Cape.

Little slice of heaven. Ayama is our favourite getaway place. The price is right and the friendly staff and the amazing service make your trip so special. We have been to Ayama 3 times in under a year and will be going back soon.

Highly recommend. Room was extremely clean and well equipped. Staff very friendly. Location was magnificent with spectacular views. Wine tasting and restaurant on the premises was very convenient and well priced. Restaurant delivered our dinner to our accommodation so we could enjoy being out for the afternoon and not worry about being back before the restaurant closed. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable. Our stay was comfortable, we were in a cool room which was great after the summer heat. We could order a supper beforehand, which was greatly appreciated. We also played a game of pool in their entertainment room. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

Very relaxing. It was great to stay on a working farm; they were about to start harvesting the grapes. The manor house has old world charm; it is not state of the art, but it has lovely old furniture. The pool is the perfect place to relax after a day exploring on a hot day. Visiting Riebeeck Castle is a must. The restaurant has a great menu, and the artichokes grown on the farm are very tasty. Chrissie and Charné made us feel very relaxed.
