A pleasure to visit this little corner of the Mediterranean in the Western Cape. Arthichoke is a charming cottage with a well-equipped kitchen. You can make use of the terrace of the Manor House, which has wonderful views of the mountains, including Table Mountain and Lion's Head. Parking is ample and secure. The staff and hosts are a pleasure to be with, and the deli and wine shop can provide additional treats. Given how close this is to Cape Town, travellers could use this as a base from which to explore the Western Cape.

Little slice of heaven. Ayama is our favourite getaway place. The price is right and the friendly staff and the amazing service make your trip so special. We have been to Ayama 3 times in under a year and will be going back soon.

Highly recommend. Room was extremely clean and well equipped. Staff very friendly. Location was magnificent with spectacular views. Wine tasting and restaurant on the premises was very convenient and well priced. Restaurant delivered our dinner to our accommodation so we could enjoy being out for the afternoon and not worry about being back before the restaurant closed. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable. Our stay was comfortable, we were in a cool room which was great after the summer heat. We could order a supper beforehand, which was greatly appreciated. We also played a game of pool in their entertainment room. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

Very relaxing. It was great to stay on a working farm; they were about to start harvesting the grapes. The manor house has old world charm; it is not state of the art, but it has lovely old furniture. The pool is the perfect place to relax after a day exploring on a hot day. Visiting Riebeeck Castle is a must. The restaurant has a great menu, and the artichokes grown on the farm are very tasty. Chrissie and Charné made us feel very relaxed.

Mooiste, rustigste plek met die vriendelikste mense en die warmste atmosfeer. Nero D'Avola verwys op die webwerf as 'n cottage. Daar is aan ons telefonies verduidelik dat dit 'n cottage 'n entjie vanaf die hoofhuis was, wat perfek vir ons is, maar eintlik is dit 'n stoepkamer aan die onderpunt van die buitegang van die huis. So dit is net daardie kommunikasie wat teleurgestel het. Alles was baie netjies en almal vriendelik. Net die 2de kragprop was foutief, beteken jy kan nie jou foon herlaai en die bedlampie terselfdertyd aan hê nie. Die omgewing is beeldskoon en werklik 'n lavenis vir die siel. Ontbyt was gewoon, maar baie lekker. Die 2de oggend, ongelukkig, was daar nie gevra rakende die warm ontbyt voorkeure nie, dit is net voorgesit, terwyl ons net begin het met die koue vrugte en yoghurt. Net 'n klein dingetjie om reg te stel, want dit is absoluut heerlik daar!

Ontspannend, rustig en 'n moet. Rustige atmosfeer met ten volle toegeruste kombuis en huisgeriewe in die selfsorgeenheid. Bestuurder behulpsaam en vriendelik nes die res van die personeel. Tienerseuns kon swem en pool speel en heerlik braai. Dit was 'n absolute plesier gewees om daar te kon oornag vir 4 aande. Definitiewe aanbeveling. Plaaslike wyn ook beskikbaar wat 'n moet is om te koop. Dankie.

Peaceful, engaging and memorable. We had an awesome stay. Staff were attentive and professional, and the farm restaurant was excellent. We brought our dog along, and it was great to see that the farm is so dog friendly.

Home away from home. Charne and her team are amazing, the place is wonderful and the breakfast was super delicious.
