Breakage Deposit
A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable directly to the property.
House Rules
Arrival: Guests must report directly to the lodge office on arrival if not met by staff at the entrance.
Indemnity Form: The main member of the group must complete an indemnity form on behalf of the entire group before entering the farm.
Minimum Stay & Hunting: Minimum of 2 nights stay. No hunting on Sundays.
No Smoking: All buildings are non-smoking. Dispose of cigarette ash and tips only in designated ashtrays or bins outside. Do not leave cigarette waste on the lawn or in the garden.
Music & Noise:
If the lodge is not booked exclusively, music quiet hours are 17h30–18h30.
No music after 21h00.
Loud music is never allowed. The owner has the final say on music levels.
Pets: No pets allowed at the lodge.
Speed & Vehicles:
Maximum speed on the farm: 20 km/h.
Stop for crossing animals and reduce speed when spotting wildlife.
No hooting.
No self-drive game drives.
Motorcycles or quads are prohibited without prior authorization.
Right of Admission: Berchtesgaden Game Ranch reserves the right of admission at all times.
Litter & Fires: No littering or open fires. Rubbish bins are provided outside the communal kitchen and chalets.
Liability: Berchtesgaden Game Ranch and staff are not liable for losses, damage, theft, or injuries.
Kitchen & Facilities:
Each accommodation has a kitchenette.
Communal kitchen available for all self-catering guests: 2 stoves, 3 fridge-freezer combos, and a chest freezer.
Please share facilities with other groups.
Connectivity:
Good MTN, Cell-C, and Vodacom signal (in lapa).
Free Wi-Fi: 400MB/day. Login: BERCHTESGADEN GUEST with mobile number and email.
Jacuzzi:
Heated by solar power.
Not a swimming or splash pool for kids.
No games or jumping.
Children allowed only under adult supervision.
Blower: max 10 minutes, then rest 10 minutes.
Lapa Use:
For full-board clients only.
Furniture & Utensils: Do not remove furniture or utensils from any accommodation.
Adult Areas:
Business centre / pool room: adults 18+ only.
Gym: not a children’s playground.
Day Spa: Advance booking required. Please notify us before arrival if possible.
Safety: Keep chalet doors closed to prevent snakes, especially in hot weather.
Firearms & Weapons: A safe is available if required.
Water & Drinks:
Complimentary water provided in rooms.
Tap water is safe to drink.
Extra water available for purchase.
Room Service: Available until 10h00. Turn the indicator on the sliding door for your preference.
Kitchen Cleaning Service:
Full-day kitchen/boma cleaning for self-caterers: this comes at an additional cost (up to 2 chalets).
If not used, guests must leave kitchens clean by 07h00 next morning and on departure.
Children Supervision: Pay attention to areas restricted to children for safety reasons.
Firewood: Available at an additional cost per 50kg bag. Logs for late-night fire are provided near the boma.
Accommodation Items: Do not remove items from chalets or boma/lapa.
Linen: Do not remove linen or blankets from any accommodation.
Paperwork: Guests may not enter before all paperwork is completed and submitted as per reservation confirmation.
Payment & Deposits:
Accounts must be settled in full before departure (EFT or cash only).
Deposit required as per invoice to confirm reservation.
Cancellation Policy:
2 months before: 100% refund
30 days with medical/death certificate: 50% refund
Within 2 weeks: no refund
Exclusive group bookings: no accommodation deposit refund
Breakage deposit is at a refundable cost before arrival.
Account Settlement: All accounts must be settled, and proof of payment (POP) provided before departure.
