Uitstekend en waardig om 'n gedig daaroor te skryf! In Big Bay, where the ocean breathes slowly, a quiet ground-floor refuge waits — not grand, not loud, but gently held between garden and sky. Morning arrives softly here. From my bed, the pool glimmers, a sheet of blue whispering light through half-drawn curtains, as if the day itself is unhurried. Outside, the garden grows in its own language — fynbos and wild grace, indigenous leaves shaped by wind and salt, each plant remembering the land long before footsteps came. The suburb feels almost imagined, otherworldly in its calm beauty — white walls, sea air, distant gulls, the unmistakable rhythm of coastal South Africa. Three minutes, and the sea finds you. The beach opens wide, generous and endless, and there — always astonishing — Table Mountain rises across the bay, a guardian carved from time itself. Life flows easily here: a stroll to cafés, laughter drifting from Eden on the Bay, coffee cups warming hands as waves keep their steady conversation. Inside again, kindness lives in small details — a host whose welcome feels sincere, spaces arranged with care, comfort offered without ceremony. And when evening settles, the great bathtub becomes an ocean of its own, where one can sink, breathe, and let the world loosen its grip. — not just a place to stay, but a pause, a softness, a memory shaped by sea light and stillness.

Veilig, netjies. Mooi. Beslis. Gasvrou aangenaam en vriendelik. Doen moeite. Ons het net een nag oorgeslaap, maar betaal vir 2 nagte. Die webtuiste het min van 2 nagte vereis. Ons vlug was alreeds die 9de Aug. (Saterdag) 14h10 terug.

Baie lekker gebly. Was baie hulpvaardig en tegemoetkomend. Haar plekkie is mooi, netjies en skoon. En die vriendelike hond Rocky was 'n pluspunt.

Comfy, safe, perfect. It was perfect, Madeleine is a gracious host and her communication was excellent. If ever I need to be in Blouberg again, I will certainly stay there.

Cozy, simple and peaceful. The stay was lovely, great to end our longer vacation and spend a quiet time.
