Rustig, stil, pragtige uitsig, vriendelik. Baie gasvrye eienaars. Ons het die diere baie geniet, katte, honey, perde, eende, hoenders, Koi visse end die oulikste mak meerkat. . Die uitsig oor die Tankwa vallei is ongelooflik.

Karoo gasvryheid. Die chalet is rustic wat van klip gebou is met 'n rietplafon, so tipies Karoo opstal. Die gasteplaas is 'n werkende plaas. Die eienaar is 'n amateur sterrekundige met 'n redelike groot teleskoop. Hy het die aand 'n baie interessante praatjie gelewer en ons deur die teleskoop laat kyk. Was baie cool.

Doen dit! Uitstekende ondervinding. Die area is iets besonders en Blesfontein was seker die beste plek wat ons nog gehad het. Die platorand en Nicol se sterrekyk is spesiaal.

N Rustige, skoon plek met uitstekende ligging en baie vriendelike gashere! Ons het vir 2 nagte bespreek, maar dit was so lekker rustig daar en die sterre so helder, dat ons vir 7 nagte gebly het! Dit was lekker om Nicol en Marina te ontmoet! Hulle het ons baie tuis laat voel! Nicol het een aand daar op die plaas vir ons sterre gewys met sy groot teleskoop en ons het so baie geleer van die sterre by hom! Nicol ken die sterreryk. Ons het al die plaasdiere baie geniet! Op Blesfontein kom mens se siel tot rus! Ek en my seun sal vir seker weer daar gaan bly!

Uitsig vanaf platorand is iets wat mens nie moet mis nie! Pragtige klipgeboue wat goed ingerig is vir koud of warm. Alles wat nodig is, is beskikbaar vir 'n heerlike wegbreek. Kuierarea met speletjies vir kinders is 'n welkome ekstra. Swem tussen Koi-visse was 'n nuwe ervaring! Gaan kuier vir die Al Pakkas en adem die plaas in terwyl jy naby genoeg aan alles is wat Sutherland bied. Sal beslis weer gaan.

Uitstekende diens van die "van der Merwes" ontvang. Warm verwelkoming, Marina het ons geneem na ons kamer, als verduidelik en WIFI aangebied. Het hul hulp aangebied met probleme wat ons ondervind het met 2de voertuig. Ekstra kamer aangebied, teen geen ekstra koste. Ook aangebied dat ons 'n tweede aand kan oorbly, sou ons nie regkom met tweede voertuig nie. Hul het werksplek aangebied waar ons herstelwerk kon doen.

Tranquil, restful. Blesfontein We chose this special location based on a good referral from friends who had stayed here before. It is truly peaceful and feels like heaven on earth. We had to drive quite a distance to find this kind of rest and quiet, away from crowds and city noise. The road to get there is good, and the farm is accessible by car. However, when visiting the escarpment, you do need a higher vehicle. The farm’s 4x4 vehicle is available for hire. The visit to the escarpment is very enjoyable and perfect for sundowners. The view over the Tankwa Karoo is absolutely breathtaking. We experienced a few sunsets there, which felt like a photographer’s dream come true. As the sun faded into the afterglow, the curvature of the earth’s atmosphere was clearly visible as a border between the waning sunlight and the deep darkness of the starscape. We stayed in the Honeymoon Cow Shed, which was very nice and spacious. The double bed and two single beds had warm blankets. There is a lovely kitchenette, and the fireplace/indoor braai made the space warm and cosy throughout the night. There is both a bath and a shower. The bath is large enough for a comfortable soak, although I do feel that a handrail should be installed on the side of the bath. The shower pressure was great. The farm animals were very special. We were visited by a meerkat—what a personality! We also enjoyed some cute interactions between the meerkat and the cats. Seeing alpacas was something new and interesting for us. There were also springbok, black and blue wildebeest, zebra, and grey reedbuck. The people were very welcoming. We received a friendly reception from Nico, who also provided us with firewood. Marina was lovely and has an alpaca wool shop. The farm owner, Nicol, treated us to about two hours of night-time stargazing with a large telescope. He is very knowledgeable about the planets and stars, and his charming Karoo accent made the experience even more enjoyable. Looking up at the beautiful array of stars, we could almost feel the earth moving. It truly is heaven on earth. This was one of our top bucket-list experiences come true!

Rustic, farmstyle guest house living is always very relaxing for us. Fantastic, on the edge of the world, looking down onto the Tankwa Karoo, between animals and lovely interesting people. They all wanted to know where we came from on our motorbikes.

Relaxing, peaceful, great. What an incredible stay. Beautiful farm, it was so clean, lovely amenities. We swam with the fish. Nicol was so kind and accommodating. The stargazing with Nicol was informative.
