‘n Pragtige goed toegeruste gastehuis. Ek het baie lekker gebly en Richard was 'n goeie en tegemoetkomende gasheer.

Mooi area, sal ander gastehuise in area probeer volgende keer. Ek wil nooit 'n besigheid skade doen nie, ek was net ongelukkig met die vuil spieël in my kamer en badkamer wat ek self moes skoonmaak en die wi-fi. Pragtige ligging en alles verder was mooi skoon. Wi-fi op my laaste dag aan en af in die middel van 'n quarterly board meeting (dis uiters belangrik in my werk om betroubare wi-fi te hê) en niemand op die perseel behalwe 'n tuinier en skoonmaker so enige probleem word deur what's app hanteer. Ek verkies 'n gastehuis met personeel op die perseel wat iets soos wi-fi kan reset. Dié gastehuis is iemand wat 'n woonhuis in gastehuis verander het, elders woon en 2 hardwerkende mense op die perseel het maar glad nie moeite gedoen het om hulle op te lei nie - ek sal nie weer daar tuisgaan nie en ek blameer die eienaars, nie die 2 hardwerkende, uiters vriendelike mense op die perseel nie.

Hello, We do apologise for the unfortunate issues you experienced at our guest house. We really do our best so that every customer has an extraordinary stay with no issues whatsoever. Before any customers check in, we do an inspection to make sure that everything is clean and satisfactory and were unaware of a dirty mirror or bathroom that you had to clean. Why did you not bring this to our attention at the time? As for the staff at the property, we constantly have to leave the guest house as supplies are needed and unfortunately during that time we were extremely busy, so we were in and out of the guest house during the day. And yes, we do use WhatsApp as a form of communication, as does every other guest house in South Africa. As for the Wi-Fi, unfortunately there was an internet issue in the George area at the time and although we had reset the entire system multiple times for you, disconnecting all our customers, we do not have the power to make internet work as some things are out of our control. We have spent a lot of money on upgrading our Wi-Fi system in our guest house with a Mesh System so that there are no speed-related issues for our customers and to this day have had no complaints until now. We also currently have a 500mb/300mb line so multiple devices can connect without any streaming issues. In the future, please address us with your concerns at the time so that it can be sorted out immediately. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

A place of great potential but clearly, badly managed. Not a place I will recommend if you have to wait 20 minutes for someone to open the gate after a long drive. We eventually gained entrance through a guest who opened the gate for an Uber delivery just to find out that the supervisor was fast asleep! Credit to the son of the owner who also arrived after 20 minutes to come to our rescue, but he soon disappeared after he realised we managed to find our way in and that payment was received. Nowhere did anybody ever communicate with us again. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, but that is about all I can say about the room. The plumbing of the bathroom is of very poor standard. You have to push the mixer in the basin in order to open it. Then the water splashed out through a screw spout. The whole countertop was wet. A very user-unfriendly set-up. The shower mixer was equally confusing and water consumption must have skyrocketed before one could figure out when and what position the warm water supply position is. The shower entrance is awkward and tile grouting shows signs of serious mould growth. We did not trust the black plastic mat in the shower. Not a relaxing shower cubicle. In addition, the long dense hair bathroom mats are suspicious from a hygienic point of view. The bed only had a fitted sheet on it. No sheet between the bed cover or duvet type of cover. The white bed throw was either dirty or had serious old stain marks on it. It was off-putting to say the least, and the thought of sleeping directly under a bedspread was no encouragement to a peaceful sleep! It resembles the bathroom hygiene problem. On top of it, the laminated floor was not properly mopped as old signs of spillage of some kind were noticeable.
