The Butterfly Villa offers spacious, scenic self-catering accommodation in Pringle Bay, in the heart of the Overberg’s beautiful Kogelberg Biosphere. Just 500 m from the beach, restaurants and village shops, this property is ideal for families, friends, couples travelling together, or guests looking for a relaxed coastal stay with ocean views, mountain views and plenty of outdoor living space.
The property consists of 2 private Suites on the 207 m² ground floor of the villa and can be booked together for exclusive use of the entire guest floor. Guests then enjoy added privacy as well as access to both patios, both Jacuzzis, the fire pit and all outdoor entertainment areas. The upper level of the villa remains private and is not part of the booking.
Together, the Suites can accommodate 8 guests, with sleeping space for 2 additional guests on the sleeper couch in the lounge.
The Family Suite sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms (+ 2 extra on a sofa bed in the lounge) and has 2 bathrooms. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, an indoor fireplace, and an open-plan living and dining area that opens onto a large patio with panoramic ocean and mountain views. Outside, guests can enjoy a 10-seater Jacuzzi, a large fire pit, an al fresco lounge, outdoor blinds and a gas braai.
The Glass Suite is ideal for a couple or small family and sleeps 2 adults and 1 child, or 2 adults and 2 small children. The glass-encased suite is a studio-type space with bedroom with a queen-size bed, 2 pop-out mattresses for children, a compact kitchenette, and a private deck with its own Jacuzzi, outdoor blinds, and beautiful sea and mountain views.
Guests have access to Wi-Fi, premium TV channels, filtered water, a washer-dryer, and secure off-street parking for up to 6 vehicles. The property is pet-friendly by prior arrangement, and the layout is well suited to older guests or those with limited mobility, with wide passages and only 1 small step at the entrance.
The Butterfly Villa operates mostly off-grid with solar power, adding peace of mind during load-shedding. For added comfort and security, the property has smoke and alarm systems, as well as an electric fence that helps keep baboons at a safe distance.
Pringle Bay is a favourite for laid-back seaside escapes, with Blue Flag beaches, hiking trails, mountain scenery and a charming village atmosphere. Popular attractions nearby include Harold Porter National Botanical Garden, Stony Point Penguin Colony and seasonal whale watching. Guests can also enjoy swimming, surfing, kayaking, sandboarding and cycling in the area.
