Will return when staying in the Cape. Very friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant also good. Suggestion: Please explain to travellers before arrival how to get to the hotel parking spaces. It is a bit complicated and not easy to find.

The worst experience of my entire life. Below is the email I wrote to the hotel regarding the problems we experienced. They never responded: I write to you in my capacity as the booking party and commercial intermediary for the above-referenced reservation to issue a formal legal notice regarding serious and repeated failures in the provision of accommodation and services booked and paid for on behalf of my clients. 1. Contracted services The booking expressly included: Two (2) family rooms with four beds each; Two (2) double rooms; and Two (2) single rooms. These services were advertised, confirmed, and paid for in full. 2. Material breach of contract and non-conforming accommodation Upon check-in on 29 December, the accommodation provided was materially non-compliant with the contract and wholly inadequate, including but not limited to the following: Allocation of a single room without a window, unfit for habitation; Failure to provide one of the booked family rooms, with guests forced into an unsuitable temporary arrangement that remained unresolved as of 2 January (checkout date); Repeated housekeeping failures, including dirty towels and improperly fitted bed linen (photographic evidence available); Structural defects in a family room, including water leaking from the ceiling into the bathroom and a defective mixer tap causing uncontrolled temperature fluctuations; Failure to provide basic amenities, including toilet paper and towels, despite repeated requests; A broken door handle and non-functional key-card system, resulting in the hotel issuing a single metal master key without retaining any duplicate, thereby preventing access for housekeeping and maintenance. 3. Negligent handling and failure to remedy Despite: My repeated presence at reception over several days; Continuous complaints by the guide and tour leader; Photographic evidence being shown to your staff; and Full knowledge of flooding and safety risks; no effective remedial action was taken. Maintenance interventions were unsuccessful, and hotel management proposed merely to “wait for the client to return,” even where urgent access was required. At my own expense and effort, I was forced to arrange private transportation to retrieve the only existing room key from the clients in Hout Bay, due solely to your failure to maintain proper access procedures. This conduct constitutes gross negligence, a failure to exercise reasonable care, and a serious breach of hospitality industry standards, wholly incompatible with a four-star hotel classification. 4. Uninhabitable accommodation In my professional assessment, at least one of the family rooms was uninhabitable and entirely unsuitable for accommodating guests, rendering the accommodation legally and factually non-compliant. 5. Formal demand Accordingly, I hereby formally demand: A full refund of the entire booking due to the provision of inadequate, unsafe, and non-conforming accommodation; A refund of all services not rendered, including but not limited to housekeeping, which were charged at the full hotel rate; and Written confirmation of the above within seven (7) days of receipt of this notice. 6. Joint liability This notice is addressed to you as the booking intermediary (the website), as the hotel and its services were advertised on your platform. I therefore hold you jointly and severally liable, together with the hotel, for the contractual breaches described herein.

Wonderful. It was a lovely stay plus during the day we had to attend the FIP Expo, so coming back to the hotel to rest was the best feeling ever.

Heerlike hotel, met fantastiese ligging as jy in die stad wil wees. Dit was heerlik! Die buffetaandete was nie na wense nie, maar die ontbyt was heerlik. Volgende keer sal ons eerder van die spyskaart af bestel. Die kroegman, Mike, was regtig uitstekend.
