Named for the clear Bushveld night skies, Stargazer Cottage celebrates the moments after sunset, when the day softens & the stars begin to appear. It is a cottage for still evenings, soft conversations & looking upward, where the vastness of the sky reminds guests to slow down & breathe. Self-catering, 4-sleeper cottage, ideal for a small family or 2 couples on a weekend getaway. 2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed & 1 with 2 single beds. The beds have good quality, firm mattresses & are made up with 100% white cotton linen. Each bed has a hanging mosquito net. The cottage has a bathroom with a shower & toilet Amenities & towels are provided. Standing fans are available throughout the cottage, as well as air-conditioning in the living area. Electric blankets are also put on the beds during winter. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, 2-plate gas stove, kettle for the gas stove, air fryer, toaster, microwave, stick blender & SodaStream. In the lounge is a gas fireplace where guests can read a book or play available board games. Free Wi-Fi is available. The ‘farm stoep’ has a built-in braai & outdoor furniture for relaxing. There is also a communal boma area to be shared with guests staying in Sunfish Cottage. The cottage features an outdoor private tub, where guests can cool off iwhile enjoying a drink, the river view & the sounds of the bushveld. The tub is also fitted with a wood-fired heater to enjoy during cool evenings. Additional amenities include covered parking for 1 vehicle, camping chairs & available board games for the family. A camping cot, booster chair & gazebo are available on request in advance. There are 3 kayaks & 6mountain bikes to rent for a small daily fee. Guests must stock up on food, fresh produce & drinks before arriving. Firewood can be purchased on-site.
