A lovely home but better suited to cooler weather. Hilltop House is in a lovely location with beautiful views. The home is generally kitted out well, but we would not recommend a stay in peak summer. The house gets uncomfortably warm in the day and the fans do not make much difference. Only 2 of the 3 rooms have an aircon, of which only one was functional. This was disappointing, considering 2 aircons are promised in the home description and we would have expected this to be checked ahead of our stay. The third room (no aircon) was very hot as well. We also would have really appreciated some shade in the garden/over the pool area and perhaps the option of flat sheets on the beds as it was far too warm for the duvets. For most of our stay, the heat (38°C every day) felt inescapable (both day and night, and inside and outside the home), so most of us did not sleep very well and, overall, our stay was not as relaxing as we would have hoped.
