House Rules
Access to the property from the main road, R512 or Pelindaba Road, is via two electrically controlled gates. The first gate is 300 metres from the main road, and the second is at the entrance to the fenced property. The road between the gates is a 2.5 km dirt road, suitable for vehicles with high clearance.
The property has been upgraded to an off-grid solar system.
The property does not have a television, but limited Wi-Fi is available.
Guests are asked to respect the tranquillity of the natural surroundings, as sound carries, particularly in the evenings. Noise should be kept to a minimum after 20:00.
A maximum of 4 vehicles is allowed on the property. The property accommodates up to 8 guests of all ages. No additional visitors beyond those booked are permitted.
Guests are not permitted to use the supplied towels for swimming and should bring their own swimming towels.
The swimming pool is unfenced and uncovered, and therefore potentially dangerous for non-swimmers. There is a potentially hazardous drop-off of over 1 metre in some areas between the swimming pool and driveway.
The private river Lapa may be accessed at guests’ own risk.
Pelindaba Rock Retreat cannot be held responsible for any incidents or accidents that may occur on the property.
