Ribbokkloof Holiday Farm is a unique countryside retreat in Mpumalanga, offering guests an unforgettable escape surrounded by unspoilt natural beauty. Conveniently located just a 2-hour drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria, the farm combines rustic charm and traditional farmhouse hospitality with modern comfort. Guests can choose from bed and breakfast chalets, self-catering chalets, or scenic camping sites.
The privately positioned chalets are nestled within the kloof, where the gentle sound of a mountain stream and tranquil rock pools create a peaceful atmosphere, ensuring a restful night's sleep. As an eco-lodge, Ribbokkloof operates entirely without Eskom electricity. The fully equipped chalets are powered by solar energy, batteries and gas, and there are no conventional power sockets available in either the chalets or camping areas. Guests are encouraged to ensure that mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices are fully charged before arrival or to bring suitable off-grid charging equipment. Should the need arise, devices may be charged at the office free of charge.
Ribbokkloof forms part of the Gelykwater Bonsmara Cattle Farms, allowing guests to experience authentic farm life. Each morning, the cattle make their way down the kloof to drink from the stream near the chalets, while playful calves add to the charm of the surroundings. The farm's beautiful horses are another highlight and are sure to delight visitors of all ages.
The sparkling swimming pool is perfectly positioned in the heart of nature, overlooking rolling hills and indigenous vegetation. A traditional thatched lapa and picnic tables provide a comfortable space for guests to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting.
Ribbokkloof is also home to The Sugar Bean @ Ribbokkloof, a distinctive farm wedding venue offering the perfect setting for an authentic vintage-style country wedding.
