Not pleasant as I had hoped.

So, we decided to visit Dullstroom on short notice. I decided not to do the lowest cost option as one sometimes does, as I wanted to let my wife relax in relative comfort for the weekend. I booked at The Lofts as it was very central and seemed up-market. We were received very friendly and showed to our unit, which ended up being above the Dullstroom Pizzeria. We received complimentary water and drinks in the fridge, with some OB sherry and firewood to keep the cold away, very nice touch. The apartment was very big and roomy however the bedroom was very small and the bedroom door could not close properly. The electric blanket on the bed wasn’t fitted properly so it only heated half of the bed, my side, lucky me, not... Although it was stated “exclusive DStv”, no DStv was available, maybe they meant excluding DStv. The Bathroom did not have a bath and shower as stated, but rather a shower in the bath (absolute pet hate). Parts of the apartment had wooden floors that were extremely noisy, I could not move at night or in the morning without waking my wife. The floors also seemed to be very very thin, as we could hear everything that was happening below us in the Pizzeria, and I mean you could follow a conversation that was happening down below, from the patrons to the staff in the kitchen. Every morning when the Pizzeria deactivated the alarm, we had a very very loud “alarm chirp” in our apartment, even from the other shop around, but the Pizzeria’s alarm chirp seemed to be right under the bed. We actually went to the Pizzeria for dinner and realised that the sound movement from us above was also very evident below for the guest below, as we heard one table asking, what is going on above. Returning back to the apartment, in the dark, we had no light at the top of the stairs the door, was very tricky and actually dangerous, I had to stay after asking for it to be fixed, but it was done promptly, the next morning, but why should a guest ask for maintenance to be done. We left the bathroom window open, only to end up with pizza oven smoke and smell in the apartment. The description and even the pictures were misleading.
