Lovely stay to wind down. We absolutely loved our stay at the Red Rooster and highly recommend it. Surrounded by artwork, an amazing succulent nursery, and beautiful mountain views, the cottage feels both inspiring and deeply calming. The hosts’ hospitality was outstanding—we felt genuinely welcomed and very safe throughout our stay—and the interior decoration stands out with a lovely colour scheme, lots of thoughtful details, and everything very well equipped for cooking and relaxing. Its quiet location in Barrydale, with easy walking access to restaurants and shops, makes it ideal for switching off without feeling remote. We will definitely be back and plan to stay longer next time to properly wind down in this truly top place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at The Red Rooster - a rustic, arty cottage. Joan was a very good host - welcoming us, and there if we needed her. The Red Rooster is a rustic cottage, a short walk from the main street of Barrydale - and the restaurants, cafes and interesting shops found there.
