See above. Very comfortable stay; every effort was made to ensure warmth inside the house. The house was well maintained and welcoming, with the only drawback being that the front gate did not have a key. Otherwise, the ease of access by means of a coded key box was really appreciated, and the environment was delightfully quiet, safe and neatly kept.

Basic, but comfortable. As self-catering cottages go, Tula Karoo is adequate, but could use a few improvements to make it a little more homely and welcoming, such as a newer rug and perhaps a few coats of paint (on the walls, and some of the furnishings). The electric blanket on the bed I used had a UK plug on it, but no adapter that I could see - fortunately, I travel with one. I also travel with my own basic kitchen utensils; items like chopping boards are often absent from "fully equipped" kitchens as was the case here. There is a full-size fridge, but the stove is 1 x convection plate and 1 x gas plate (think camping-style). It was sufficient for my needs for the night, but I did feel it was a bit overpriced for a single person, for what one gets for it.

A beautiful gem set in the awesome Karoo. We loved the cottage. The beds were super comfortable and the bedding was outstanding. Sutherland is an exceptional little town, with so much potential and so many beautiful houses to stay in. I loved my visit there and encourage one and all to take that trip.
