"A fascinating, inspiring, interesting, multi faceted safe place to stay! Pear blossoms were spectacular in late September. Restaurants for all tastes with great food at very reasonable prices. Such friendly people."
"Nice feeling to the town and worth staying over to relax and unwind and to experience the Karoo quietness and energy."
"The town has 75 % historic buildings. It was wonderful for me because I visited to find my family roots. "
"No shops open on a Sunday and no petrol available either.(local farmers co-op) Britstown nearest petrol station."
"We bought outstanding lamb from Karoo Free-Range Slaghuis - Has "Oom Tobie" on the roof."
"Some nice historical items to be seen at local shops and hotel. Town mostly a relic of Apartheid SA. Main attraction is the entrance to the wonderful Baviaanskloof."
"Gariepdam is vir seker 'n "toeriste opportunity missed".
"There really isn't much to Colesberg other than it's a perfect halfway point for a stop over between between Durban and Cape Town. I guess visitor traffic is seasonal or occasional so it would be hard to establish more 'entertainment' that would be sustainable on an annual basis."
