"Clarens is a lovely little town with a lot of character. I felt safe walking in the beautiful park, and there is a wide choice of restaurants on offer for casual and fine dining. There are "car washers" who offer to wash your car for a fee when you park - but not the usual obligatory "car guards" and I never felt pressured or harassed. Bear in mind that supermarket options are limited to just one local shop."
