House Rules
Prepaid electricity is provided and should be sufficient for moderate use during your stay, although additional units can be purchased if required. The gas geyser activates when the hot water tap is opened fully, and a lighter is supplied for the gas hob. Please report if the gas runs out or if any issues arise. During load-shedding, guests may occasionally be asked to switch off the air conditioner to conserve the shared inverter’s limited capacity.
Two dogs and 1 cat, Nibbles, live on the property and are kept separate from the flat. If Nibbles enters the flat, she should not be fed.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the Android TV and Netflix while remaining mindful of quiet hours. The lounge sliding door should be kept closed when the flat is unattended or during rainy weather to prevent water damage. When open, it offers city views at night and sunrise views over the nearby forestry.
Please do not feed or leave food out for the neighbourhood monkeys, as they may attempt to enter through open doors or windows. All food should be stored securely in the fridge or cupboards and kept out of sight.
Quiet hours should be observed out of consideration for the elderly neighbours living below the flat. For safety, all trellis doors and windows should be locked whenever the flat is unattended, even for short periods.
