5 out of 5 stars – Exceptional! We have been loyal visitors to the Arniston Spa Hotel since the 1990s, returning time and again to this breathtaking seaside haven. What was once a cherished weekend escape has become a tradition for our family, and over three decades later, it remains an absolute gem in the Western Cape – perhaps the finest coastal retreat in the province. Nestled right on the edge of the Indian Ocean, with panoramic views of endless turquoise waves, pristine white beaches, and the charming historic fishing village of Kassiesbaai, the hotel's location is simply unparalleled. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, many with private balconies perfect for watching the sunset. The food is outstanding – fresh local seafood, hearty breakfast buffets, and delightful dinners that never disappoint. But what truly sets the Arniston Spa Hotel apart is the warmth and dedication of its people. The staff are brilliant: friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, always going the extra mile to make you feel at home. From the reception team who remember returning guests to the restaurant and housekeeping staff who anticipate every need, their service is consistently exceptional. A special mention must go to the manager – he is simply outstanding. The Arniston Hotel offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was clean and spacious, providing ample space to relax, while the bathroom, though on the smaller side, was perfectly adequate for our needs. However, I was not a fan of the shutter window between the bathroom and bedroom, as it compromised a bit on privacy. On the positive side, the bed was extremely comfortable, contributing to a restful night's sleep. Dining at the hotel was a highlight of the visit. Dinner was truly special, showcasing quality and attention to detail. The breakfast buffet was also impressive, well laid out and featuring a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. Throughout our stay, the staff stood out for their friendliness and helpfulness, making us feel welcome at all times. Overall, the Arniston Hotel delivers a pleasant experience with a few minor quirks.

Fantastic and relaxing midweek stay. We had a fantastic time, lovely scenic beach walk and spa treatment. The food was scrumptious, the only not so good was the mojitos we ordered; it was too sour (too much lemon), but we had a lovely stay.
