Serene cottage in lovely setting.

Absolutely loved this place. Great cottage, including hot tub with a view, in an absolutely beautiful setting with endless trails, tons of cafes, etc. But also a peaceful lawn and grounds with a tree swing big enough for a nap and relaxing afternoon. Host was very responsive and seemed to know everyone in the area, which was helpful with recommendations for food and activities.

A dream stay, better than advertised!

Better than advertised! A rare experience where the reality FAR surpassed the photos and the description. The cottage is ideally located: easily accessible from the main road but far enough that you feel "away from it all. " The pictures don't convey how special the location is, especially the view of the valley and the beauty of the grounds. Within easy distance of Zwakala Brewery, Cheerio Gardens, a cheese farm, and other local restaurants and sites. There are endless hikes through old-growth forests and tree farms. Incredible birdlife, friendly dogs, goofy ostriches, and some wild animals (saw reedbuck and a bushpig). In many years of Lekkeslaap and AirBnB stays, have never had a better host: anticipated our needs, responded quickly when we had questions, and even called ahead to a local restaurant to ensure we were well cared for. My only complaint is that I never saw a porcupine even though I was told "We see them all the time. " I trust the host will get the porcupines to be more cooperative! A tip: definitely request the extra wood and get the hot tub heated early and keep it hot throughout. Nothing better than a hot soak while enjoying the incredible view and beautiful surroundings!
