House Rules
The host resides on the premises and is available should you require any assistance.
No smoking, e-cigarettes, or vaping is allowed inside the studio. A cleaning levy will be charged if smoking occurs indoors.
Entertaining guests is permitted, but please respect quiet hours. No overnight guests are allowed.
Please switch off all lights and appliances when leaving the unit.
Bath towels are for indoor use only. Do not take them to the beach. Beach towels and an umbrella are available on request.
The studio is equipped with a solar power system and an inverter. Battery capacity is limited, especially in the evening or during overcast weather. Please avoid high-usage appliances (e.g., kettle or iron) during load-shedding.
The EskomSePush app can be used to monitor scheduled outages. Fish Hoek is listed as Zone eight.

Please use water sparingly, as South Africa is a water-scarce country.
Cape winters are cold and damp; keep the studio ventilated, especially after cooking or showering.
The bathroom extractor fan activates with the light.
The bed is fitted with an electric blanket and brushed cotton sheets during winter. Additional blankets are provided.
A gas heater can be arranged upon request if you feel cold.
The studio is serviced weekly on Thursdays for stays of 7 nights or longer (linen and towel change, bin clearance).
Should you require anything specific, please leave a note on the kitchen counter.
Please report any breakages or maintenance concerns in the notebook on top of the fridge.
We follow a zero-waste-to-landfill policy: Use the marked bins for plastic, paper, glass, cardboard, and cans.
Place organic waste (excluding meat or cheese) in the sealed container under the sink for composting. General waste may be placed in the silver swing-lid bin.
Please do not flush sanitary products, condoms, or cloths; use the bin provided.
Avoid using sunscreen or tanning sprays before getting into bed. A fee may apply for stained linen.
Please use the dark-coloured face cloth provided for makeup removal.
