Comfortable and delightful. I'd stay here again for sure. In addition to great comfort and lovely country surrounds near to the city, the toiletries provided were luxurious. Thank you!

Ongelooflike 2 aande in die mooiste gastehuis denkbaar! Ongelooflik! Klein paradys met alles wat 'n mens kan benodig om te ontspan en dit tyd te geniet. Alles is perfek! Die hele Liedjiebos-span se diens was 5 sterre en ons sien reeds uit na die volgende geleentheid om tyd by Liedjiebos te spandeer. Die Kgedi-kamer was privaat en perfek vir ons verblyf en alles wat ons benodig het, was daar.

Geagte Roelof Baie dankie vir hierdie ongelooflik mooi terugvoer! Dit beteken vir ons die wêreld om te hoor dat julle twee aande by Liedjiesbos so besonders en ontspannend was. Ons is veral bly dat julle die Kgedi-kamer geniet het, ons hele span sal baie trots wees om te weet dat julle hul diens as 5-ster ervaar het. Dit was 'n groot plesier om julle hier te hê, en ons sien net so baie uit na julle volgende besoek aan ons klein stukkie paradys! Groete Liedjiesbos Span

Convenient, but disappointing. This was our third stay at Liedjiesbos. Previously we were extremely impressed - hence our returning again and again. We were less impressed this time. Some 'small' things were missing; for example, it was a cold day and heating the room in preparation for our arrival would have made a major positive impression. The pillows need to be retired; they were thin and uncomfortable. New and more substantial pillows would be a very good idea. The breakfast, at R 350 per person, is exorbitant. Consequently, we won't be returning to Liedjiesbos again.

Dear Mathew Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and especially for choosing to stay with us on three occasions. We are genuinely sorry that this stay did not leave you with the same impression as your previous visits. Regarding the heating, we checked our records and note that you arrived shortly after 15:00. Unfortunately, no estimated arrival time was provided to us beforehand, so we were not aware that you would be arriving at that time and were therefore unable to prepare the room's temperature in advance. On particularly cold days, we normally pre-heat rooms at around 18:00 when guests have not yet checked in. We are also mindful of running air-conditioning unnecessarily early when we do not know when a guest will arrive. Your room also has a fireplace, and our staff would have been very happy to assist you in lighting it. Apart from creating a lovely atmosphere, the fireplace heats the room considerably faster and is a more economical way of warming the room. We are sorry that you found the pillows uncomfortable. Pillow preferences are very personal, and alternative pillows are available from reception should those in the room not suit you. We would have been happy to assist had we known during your stay. We would also like to clarify one important point regarding breakfast. You were charged R250 per person upon check-in, which is our actual breakfast price — not R350 as stated in the review. On the morning of your stay, this included yoghurt, muesli and fruit with gooseberry sauce, followed by our breakfast of the day: a croissant with scrambled eggs and a choice of bacon or salmon. It also included your choice of coffee, tea and juices. It is genuinely disappointing to us that, after two previous stays without any issues and having chosen to return to Liedjiesbos for a third visit, this experience has resulted in the decision not to return. We would have much preferred the opportunity to address any concerns during your stay and ensure that your experience was once again worthy of the confidence you had placed in us on your previous visits.
