House Rules
Nagmaal is fully self-catering; only towels and toilet paper are provided in the bathrooms.
There is a built-in braai on the covered veranda and a wood stove available in the house.
The property has a borehole and a water storage tank with a pump. All geysers run on gas. However, water pipes may freeze overnight and typically thaw around 10h00, so guests are advised to plan their water usage accordingly.
The town’s sewage system is old; therefore, only toilet paper may be flushed. Sanitary products, baby diapers, wipes, or any similar items must not be flushed.
Please consider electricity usage. Although a cosy home is provided on arrival, guests are requested to switch off lights and electric blankets when not in use. The house is solar-powered.
No smoking is permitted inside the house.
Gates must be kept closed at all times, as there are free-roaming cattle, pigs, horses, and sheep in the town, which may damage the garden if gates are left open.
There are no ATMs in town, and all shops and restaurants accept card payments. However, it is advisable to carry cash for times when the mobile signal is unavailable, as card machines may be affected, as well as for market days.
No fuel is available for purchase after 12h00 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Guests are advised to refuel before turning off towards Rosendal.
Nagmaal has WiFi with the password “StayConnected1” available at the router.
