Loskop Reptile Park

Description

The Loskop Reptile Park is a wonderful family attraction that can be found just before the entrance to the Loskop dam nature reserve in Groblersdal, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa.

Visitors can enjoy seeing reptiles such as tortoises, terrapins, and various snakes on show. There are even Nile crocodiles whose enormous size can really impress visitors. An introductory talk on reptiles is followed by a reptile demonstration.

The collection of snakes at the centre is a good representation of the snakes found in the Loskop area. Here you will find black mamba, snouted cobra (Egyptian cobra), Mozambique spitting cobra, boomslang, and rinkhals. There is also a small curio shop on site.
