"Unfortunately, Margate is not the exciting holiday destination it once was. The Town is not clean and safe as a whole. We chose not to visit Margate town or the beach for this reason but chose to visit other beaches close by."
"If you like remote beaches like I do this is the perfect place. Just enough to do in the means by restaurants and little shops. Mostly enjoyed Waves for great seafood, best view in non pretentious atmosphere."

"St Lucia is something special. Where else can you drive to the main swimming beach (Cape Vidal), and see most of the Big 5 on the way there and back? Enjoyed the restaurant options, the Hippo estuary cruise (where we learnt about the reasons for opening the estuary back up to the sea), the fresh fruit market, early morning walks through the forests that border the town. Felt safe the whole time. Friendly people, clean streets, lots to see and do."

"Die eerste naweek was verskrilklik met dronk mense wat oral rommel los en dit aaklig maak om Clarke Bay en Salmon Bay te stap, en dit is elke keer die geval as dit naweek of langnaweke is. Ons het in die plaaslike koerant gelees dat die Burgermeester almal se klagtes ernstig opgeneem het en die strande van beide kante met polisieëring te bewaak en alle vakansiegangers se sakke deur te gaan voor hulle op die strand of walkway gaan. Ons het dit elke dag vanaf Hops en die Galley dopgehou en die polisie en gemeenskap het hulle uitstekend van hul taak gekwyt en almal het beskaafd en rustig opgetree. As dit so aangaan sal baie meer mense hier kom vakansie hou."
"Baie lekker strand, kan lang ente gaan stap. Die strand is ook veilig vir swem, daar was elke dag lewensredders aan diens."

"Dit was ons eerste besoek aan Umdloti, dit was heerlik en pragtig. Die getypoel gee 'n heerlike swem ervaring, want die golwe is rustiger en daar is nie so baie seestrome nie. Die strande is egter net baie gepak oor naweke, wat mens so bietjie benoud laat voel. Verder is dit 'n heerlike plek wat ons enige tyd sal aanbeveel."
