"Fabulous, quaint place to visit and explore. Friendly people, history and divine wine galore."
"Magnificent scenery, beautiful venues in the area, quaint town and shops. On the negative side: Social development is obviously an issue, alcohol abuse by local communities on weekend evenings detracts from the attractive facade."
"If you not into wine farms and possibly hiking, there is not much to do. The scenery is great. Fairly central if you want to tour surrounding areas. Wish the Bainskloof Pass was open as that would make for a great trip to or from Tulbagh."
"We did not have time to explore all of Tulbagh, so we'll be back to do that and for a longer stay."
"As jy in Tulbagh is moet jy definitief 'n draai maak by Kole en Deeg in die dorp. Beste pizza en roosterkoeke ooit. "
"Post Covid it is advisable to find out what restaurants are open, their trading times and to make bookings beforehand if you are not self-catering as, even though it was a long weekend, we found it hard to find open restaurants in town under the present circumstances. This was not always the case pre-Covid, so one can only imagine it's due to economic stress and pressure. However it still remains one of the most beautiful little towns in the Cape! I'd imagine this would be the case for a lot of small towns in SA at the moment and can only hope that the hospitality industry recovers."
