A home away from home. Absolutely amazing, the perfect stay!

Nice weekend but issues with the house and the owner. Clarens Manor is a home that needs maintenance. Although the house has everything you need, I got locked in the bathroom, as the locks are faulty. The owner did come to assist after we called as we had no other alternative; the experience was not pleasant. All the doors in the home do not close properly. The owners were available and they were helpful; however, when we left after our weekend, we were sent a picture and told we had damaged a sheet, had ink on the sheet, and that I needed to pay R695.00 for a flat sheet. I questioned which room the damaged sheet was from, to be told it was the room I was in. I know I had checked my room once we had packed up and I know there was no ink on the sheet, but how does one prove this? Anyway, I will pay it, but if you stay here, make sure to take pictures of your room and sheets and timestamp your pictures. The owner made me feel like I was dishonest and a liar. It leaves a very bad taste in one's mouth, so I will never come back here or recommend this house to any of my friends. The house is near town, so you can walk.

Relaxing, beautiful and peaceful town with stunning views. The holiday home had fantastic views of the Maluti Mountains. For 10 people, the house was very spacious and had all the amenities you require for a self-catering home. The beds were very comfortable and the newly renovated showers were fantastic. Due to ongoing water issues in Clarens, we did struggle with water at various times each day. The owner was assisted with additional water bottles. I would recommend a water tanker as I see most residents have either borehole or water tankers to accommodate guests.

Idyllic family getaway. Thank you for the lovely stay. The place has beautiful views and comfortably accommodated the whole family. It’s been an idyllic family getaway! Just a couple of notes: Accessing the parking from the road was a bit challenging because our cars aren’t high enough. It might be helpful to mention this to future guests. The hot water (and water in general) seemed to cut off at night. Other than that, it was the perfect stay and the host was really great at communicating.

Beste wegbreek nog in Clarens. 10 uit 10! Alles wat jy nodig het en meer. Ons het so lekker gebly en niks gekort nie - binne loop afstand van alles. Tieners kon alleen rondloop.

Clarens is 'n beeldskone rustige dorp. Clarens Manor het alles wat jy nodig het. Ons was 8 mense wat heerlik gerieflik gebly het.

Lieflike familiehuis en uitstekende ligging. Een badkamer het 'black mould' en dit sal gaaf wees as die hek met afstandbeheer kon oopmaak.

Enjoyed our stay at Clarens Manor. Enjoyed our stay. The house does need proper cleaning and maintenance.

Wonderful place with everything you need! We were 10 people, celebrating my husband's 50th, and this house catered for our every need. With just a few steps to town, and a beautiful view of the back of Clarens from the patio. We enjoyed every piece of this house. The rooms are well appointed (each with an en-suite) — something that is hard to find. The kitchen is large and has everything you need. The house is naturally warm but also has a wonderful fireplace. We loved staying here. Marlene was a wonderful host — thank you so much!

Alles wat mens nodig het! Baie netjiese, goed toegeruste huis. Ideaal vir naweek saam met vriende. Gasstoof, self charging-gloeilampe en batteryligte vir loadshedding. Marlene is baie behulpsaam en goeie kommunikasie heeltyd. Sal vir enige iemand aanbeveel. Die uitsig van die stoep af is stunning.
