Not pleasant, hot and full of insects, and frogs were noisy at night. The room was stuffy and hot during the day and night and didn't have an A/C unit. We couldn't open the doors and windows at all as the room would be full of insects. The windows and doors could have had at least insect nets, but they didn't. My wife and I were itching ourselves after opening a window a little bit as we needed oxygen to breathe. The room was clean and renovated but had no extra amenities like TV or streaming services or any other welcome package.

Dear Mehrzad, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your stay was not as comfortable as you had hoped. Guest comfort is very important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond. On arrival, you actually emphasised how peaceful the setup of Farr Out with the surrounding Fynbos nature is compared to busy Paternoster. During your visit, Paternoster experienced an unexpected heat wave — quite unusual for November. With the rare combination of high temperatures and absolutely no wind (which normally keeps insects away), the natural environment behaved a little differently than usual. We understand how this could have made things feel uncomfortable. Farr Out is surrounded by nature, including our eco-friendly pond, which hosts frogs that occasionally hold their own “night concert.” While many guests enjoy the natural soundtrack, we understand it’s not everyone’s preference, and we’re sorry it disturbed your rest. Regarding the room: although it is fully renovated and cleaned with care, we acknowledge your feedback about insect screens and ventilation (ceiling fan in lounge available). These are valuable suggestions, and we will certainly review options to improve the experience for future guests. However, we are very surprised to read in your review regarding the TV as this is a Smart TV (whereas you could have logged into your own DSTV subscription) with free access to Netflix as well as OpenView TV. We regret that your stay didn’t reflect the peaceful, enjoyable atmosphere we aim to offer. Thank you again for your comments — they help us grow and improve. Marion and Deon

Enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For our next stay, we will definitely book the spa treatments and make use of the hot tub.

Tussen fybbos, waar die skulpaaie in die ruïne rondloop en netjies tariewe. Baie vriendelike welkom, baie mooi en netjies.

Pragtige plek sal defnitief weer besoek. Wat n pragtige, netjies plek. Ons het die eerste aan die hot tub geboek en dit was so lekker ondervinding. Dis privaat ons het lekker ontspan so in die natuur. Die eenheid is net wat jy nodig het. Ons bed was elke dag opgemaak en alles weer netjies op sy plek. Ons sal beslis weer besoek! Baie Dankie vir die gasvryheid.

Baie aangenaam en outspannend. Gasvrou het uit haar pad gegaan om ons te verwelkom. Pragtig skoon en heel ruim. Dit is 'n besonderse plek. Baie geniet en sal hoogs aanbeveel.
