Lovely seaside holiday venue. A very pleasant surprise. Happy Place was very comfortable, spacious, and well located for beach access.

We enjoy Happy Place but it needs attention. I would like to share some feedback regarding our recent stay at Happy Place. We visited approximately two to three years ago and were extremely impressed at the time—the property was beautifully clean, well-equipped, and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately, our recent experience was quite different and left us feeling underwhelmed. The property appears to have become run down and is in need of general maintenance. We noted peeling paint on the floors, areas that would benefit from a fresh coat of paint, and a broken toilet bowl. In addition, some of the utensils were old, damaged, or no longer functional. Cleanliness was also a concern. We encountered dirty cutting boards, unclean blankets, hair in the showers, and pillowcases that were visibly stained and yellow/brown. We have already booked another long stay at Happy Place for January, and we sincerely hope that the necessary maintenance and improvements will be addressed before then. We do understand that the place is rented out, and not all renters look after it, but given the daily rate, we believe it is reasonable to expect a well-maintained and clean environment. We trust that you will take this feedback into consideration and look forward to seeing improvements ahead of our next visit.
