I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend, but self-catering would do. I really enjoyed my stay. The receptionist who checked us in was professional, showed us to our room, and went the extra mile by organising dinner for my young one (3 years) as there was no kiddies' menu available for dinner. I was a bit disappointed with my dinner and breakfast (butternut soup, chicken breast and mash, and cake slice). My protein was bland; it really lacked flavour. My mash had lumps; it was just a 3/10 for me. I expected more variety for my breakfast as I only had minced meat, scrambled eggs, and mushrooms (we don't eat pork), which was not really filling as I normally prefer an English breakfast.

Very happy stay. Access was too difficult. Not the address/location but the time limit of 18:00 you have to check in. As we called the number, there was no reply. The Braai area is not suitable. The building and rooms are not more than 3 star. Otherwise, all fine.

Not what we expected. The place needs an upgrade. Lions Rock has great service. The workers are amazing and really did the best they could. Unfortunately, we were disappointed at how the place was falling apart. The rooms are extremely hot. We could not sleep because of the heat. The fan only blew hot air. The braai had a hole in it, so we could not braai. The place did not have the essentials for self-catering. The shower did not work. The road to the restaurant was not pleasant. The workers' clothes were outdated and torn. It looked very unprofessional and unneat. The WiFi was not working in the room as advertised. Unfortunately, we would not recommend Lions Rock to anyone. The place needs an upgrade and some TLC.

Unique and romantic. We stayed 3 nights at the tented camp. Service was very friendly, food was very tasty. The best is the unique location on the river in a tent with AC, awesome!

Will not recommend it. The other guests got very noisy to the point that we could not sleep. It was not as tranquil as one would expect. The tented accommodation was not as luxurious as they would like to state. Food was average. The bathroom did not have a nice smell.

Fantastiese plek. Diens en onderhoud nie op standaard nie. Fantastiese plek. Het heerlik geslaap met die rivier se gedruis. Omdat ons laat aangekom het, is ons aandete na ons tent gebring. Kos was baie lekker - was net moeilik om te eet sonder eetgerei en met slegs een teelepel in die kamer. Ontbyt was teleurstellend. Restaurant kort aandag - skoon lappe by die koffiestasie noodsaaklik.
