Meilland Haus Garden Cottage is a charming, self-catering cottage in Prince Albert. This town is nestled at the foot of the Swartberg in the Karoo and offers a variety of activities such as olive- and cheese tasting, star gazing, hiking, mountain biking and 4x4 trails, yoga classes, cooking lessons at a local cooking school and exploring historical sites.
This cottage can accommodate 2 guests at a time. The bedroom is equipped with a king-size, extra-length bed with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.
The unit features a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine, crockery and cutlery. Further luxuries include a TV with DStv, Netflix and ShowMax, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, an indoor fireplace, a covered patio with outdoor braai, and secure parking.
The cottage is provided with quality cotton bed linen, towels, coffee, tea, milk, sugar and firewood. Breakfast baskets, braai packs and picnic baskets are available on request.
Other activities for the visitor are the weekly farmers market on Saturday mornings, performances at The Showroom, visit the local Fransie Pienaar Museum and guided historical walks. There are a variety of antique shops, art galleries and prestigious restaurants in Prince Albert. Popular day-trips include a visit to Weltevrede Vye farm, the Swartberg Pass and Gamkaskloof, also known as Die Hel, and Meiringspoort. Follow the scenic Groenfontein Road to Calitzdorp, visit Merweville and nearby nature reserves. Experience scenic sunrises and sunsets.
