Guests must be sure to read what they are booking, as there are different accommodation options available. 4 bushcamps or 6 caravan stands, and 6 unique 50 m² canvas safari tents.
Before you enjoy your visit, please take note that the facilities and activities in the reserve may involve unusual risks that could cause injury, illness, death, or damage to property.
These risks include, but are not limited to, the following:
Wildlife Encounters
You may encounter free-roaming wild and dangerous animals, reptiles, birds, and insects — including Elephant, Hyena, Buffalo, Rhinoceros, Leopard, Hippo, Crocodile, Antelope, and various poisonous snakes, spiders, and insects.
These animals are unpredictable and dangerous. Any personal interaction with them — or swimming/entering rivers and dams — is strictly prohibited.
Poisonous Plants and Water
Avoid eating unknown plants, leaves, or fruits. Do not drink water from rivers or dams, and do not swim or enter these bodies of water. They may contain polluted water, poisonous plants, or bilharzia.
Heat and Sun Exposure
Protect yourself from heat exhaustion and sunburn by using sunscreen and drinking plenty of fluids.
Road Conditions
Gravel roads, roaming animals, potholes, and erosion increase the risk of accidents. Please drive carefully, at a safe speed, and watch out for animals, visitors, potholes, and reserve vehicles.
Drowning Hazards
Never swim or enter rivers or dams, and do not leave children unattended near any water bodies or swimming pools.
Insect Bites
Use insect repellent at all times to avoid bites from mosquitoes and other harmful insects.
Natural Water Hazards
Rivers, streams, dams, and other water bodies may be affected by unpredictable weather, flooding, or tides. The reserve may not have the same warning or control systems as developed areas.
Acknowledgement of Risk
While every effort is made to maintain the reserve’s roads, gates, floodgates, and fences, visitors understand that it’s not always possible for the reserve’s owners, managers, staff, or agents to prevent all losses or incidents, given the wild nature of this environment.
By entering the reserve, you confirm that you:
Understand and accept the real dangers of wildlife areas and game reserves.
Are aware of the potential risks of injury, illness, death, or property damage from encounters with wild animals, reptiles, birds, and insects.
By choosing to visit and take part in reserve activities, you:
Voluntarily assume all associated risks, and
Indemnify and hold harmless the reserve’s managers, owners, operators, landowners, product owners, and their employees, agents, and representatives from any and all injury, illness, death, loss, or damage — whether caused by negligence or not.
This includes any claims made by your family members, dependents, or anyone accompanying you. The reserve and its associated parties are not liable for punitive, indirect, consequential, or third-party damages — including loss of profits — or for any claims imposed by laws outside the Republic of South Africa.
