Puik. Ons verblyf by Outeniqua Mountain Lodge was werklik onberispelik. Ons het 2 hout huisies bespreek, en albei was skoon, netjies en goed ingerig, met uitstekende aandag aan detail. Vrede en stilte was ons hoogste prioriteit, en dit is presies wat ons gekry het. Ons kan Outeniqua Mountain Lodge met groot vertroue sterk aanbeveel.

Rustig en beeldskoon! Wonderlike plek vir ontvlugting! Baie netjies, kokende water en die allermooiste uitsigte. Die plaaskind padstal by die pad af is perfek vir 'n koffie en ontbyt.

Peaceful mountain hide-out. An awesome place for people who want to be in the quiet of nature and its surrounds. The rondawel we stayed in was quaint and just what we liked. The lapa/kitchen had everything we needed and more. The rocket stove for hot water, including in the showers, is a wonderful idea for instant hot water. We really enjoyed our stay.

Dit was 'n baie lekker rustige en het lekker ontspan. Ons het dit baie geniet en 'lekker gebly'. Die stilte en die natuur was ongelooflik. Het baie geniet dat ons kon stap in die klowe.

Place is clean and tidy and in good condition. Signage can be confusing. The little house in the valley is quite quaint. We enjoyed the stay and the peace and quiet. The signage still says Outeniqua Trout Lodge, so we drove past and arrived a little later than expected, clearly causing an inconvenience for the owners. We felt very safe, even though we arrived in the dark. Little attention to detail such as coffee, sugar, tea, milk, salt, and pepper would be great. You also need to know how a gas geyser works as we could not get it going and only had cold water available. This place is perfect for a bigger family with plenty of open space. Bring your own wood, as the place has the most amazing fireplace inside, but no wood provided (not sure if you are allowed to use it). We loved the historical significance the cottage had to offer.

Dearest Inge T, Thank you for the beautiful review. All of the items you were short are available at reception including bags of firewood to light the fireplace at Bain's Cottage. The signage is indeed confusing, however, we are working on it. The R339 (Prince Alfred's Pass) is listed as a Provincial Red and signage can only be altered with consent by the authorities, this involves a number of tedious, time consuming and bureaucratic steps as well as tremendous patience. We should be there shortly, so that we can have our signs display our new name (Outeniqua Mountain Lodge). We look forward to welcoming you both again in the near future and hope that all the little things are then attended to properly.
