House Rules
During load shedding, the use of hairdryers, washing machines, clothes irons, ovens and geysers is not permitted.
Guests are expected to act considerately towards neighbours, the buildings and all equipment within the complex. Behaviour that may be offensive or disruptive to others should be avoided at all times.
The maximum occupancy per unit is 6 adults and 2 children. Permission must be obtained in advance for any additional guests. Non-compliance may result in a fine issued to the owner by the Body Corporate, which will be passed on to the tenant.
Noise levels must be kept to a minimum. Excessive noise from smartphones, speakers, radios, televisions or any other source is not permitted. Quiet hours in the complex are from 22:00.
Day visitors and guests of tenants are required to park outside the complex. Only 1 vehicle per unit is permitted in the open parking area, which is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. A second vehicle may be parked in the garage; however, access is limited and only medium-sized vehicles can be accommodated. Parking in front of garages is not allowed.
Municipal water supply interruptions may occur. Emergency water tanks are available, but water must be used sparingly. When tank water is in use, a red indicator light will be visible on the roof of the top unit.
No litter may be discarded on the common property or on the walkway leading to the beach.
A maximum of 2 small dogs is permitted by prior arrangement. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, and as the garden is communal, guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Kitchen and household refuse must be placed in standard municipal refuse bags and disposed of in the bins located in the courtyard. Refuse is removed daily by the gardener.
Guests are required to ensure that all security gates remain closed at all times. The entrance gate must be allowed to close fully before driving off. The gate leading to the beach must be locked and not left open. Remote controls for Stoppel Avenue and access codes for the beach gates must be kept secure.
Rus te Kus at South Sands is linked to an armed response service. Guests must activate the security system when leaving the property and ensure that the beams for the lower patio and upper deck are activated when these areas are not in use. It is essential to confirm that the beams are deactivated before accessing the lower patio or upper deck.
