The perfect budget getaway for animal lovers. A truly unique and tranquil experience, the perfect getaway for animal lovers. We can't seem to stay away; visiting once a month has become the norm. Budget friendly (guys, you're paying less than a family dinner at a local restaurant - don't expect 5-star accommodation. You're not even getting a stay at your local backpackers for less.) A rare opportunity to stay amongst a bunch of friendly felines, some guaranteed to visit and make your stay that much more purrfect. Recharge around the indoor fireplace or make use of the outdoor fire pit. Family friendly - the nephew loves it.

Awesome. We lost our little furry friend of 19 years a few months back. And it really was an awesome experience spending time with all the cats. We also had a few sleeping partners every night. Will definitely visit again. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Charming, rustic stay. Great little cottage for a few nights away. Don't expect any mod cons as there aren't any, but that's the charm of this place so you can relax by the roaring indoor fire, or sitting on the stoop. It's in a cat sanctuary and they do love to come and say hello, so get your tummy tickle hands at the ready. Great location to explore Elgin Valley, and highly recommend. Will be back!

Lekker wegbreek. Baie lekker vir iemand wie 'n dag of twee wil wegbreek en die natuur en stilte geniet. Oulike kuiergas gehad wat langs my geslaap het terwyl ek bietjie werk ingehaal het.

Fridge has a water dispenser with bottled water. Water in this area has a brown colour due to tannins. Perfectly fine to drink. Please check your facts before you comment. The water is not dirty. It is normal for this area. Google it.

Be afraid, very afraid. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment. We like cats, and it looked like a beautiful forest cottage. The cottage does have potential, but not the way it's managed now. The reality: The cottage is on a very untidy property overlooking the Grabouw industrial area. It is not clean to a degree where we felt uncomfortable. The interior and exterior furniture and floors are covered with cat hair. You do not dare open the door, or you’ll have at least four scruffy cats competing for the bed and seating. The old spring bed is super uncomfortable and the bedding not clean. Not a lekkestay at all.
